Pre-K Partnerships Counseling Program

 

The goal of the Dallas Independent School District’s Counseling Services program is to create communities where all children feel supported, respected, and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential. The Counseling Services program focuses on the sustainability of an effective counseling and guidance program that encourages social and academic growth while challenging students to become independent thinkers and responsible citizens.

Mrs. Lisa Golightly

Mrs. Golightly has worked with Early Childhood Learners for over 15 years and is a strong advocate for scholars and their families. She believes that all children can learn and reach their fullest potential to be diverse positive leaders who serve others. Mrs. Golightly is a wife and mother of three children. Her family has many educators at various educational levels. Two of her children are educators as well. Mrs. Golightly graduated with a master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Mrs. Golightly currently holds her certification in School Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Mrs. Blanca Ortiz

Mrs. Blanca E Ortiz has 13 years of experience in education. She began her education career at Dallas ISD as a Teacher Assistant in 2007. Mrs. Ortiz started her alternate teaching certification at John Ireland Elementary in 2014. She joined Pre-K Partnerships in 2017 as a Pre-K Teacher while pursuing her Masters in Guidance and Counseling. In 2019, she received her master's degree from San Angelo State University and her certification for school counselor from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Her goal is to serve as a resource for students, staff, families, and the community. Mrs. Ortiz believes she has the best job in the world and that is helping wonderful students succeed and learn to their highest potential. Mrs. Ortiz is a wife and a proud mother of two. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and creating memories.
